Watch as Nick creates loops, stacks samples, and records everyday objects around him to create unique drum samples. Nick speaks to the importance of drum mixes and how they will ultimately effect other tacks in a project. Nick also discusses getting your drums to sound huge and finding melody in your grooves.
This week on Sonic Underground, Nick Neutronz shows you how he creates unique drum sounds from foley recordings!
Foley recordings are audio recordings meant to mimic sounds of actions you see in movies and TV shows that microphones couldn’t capture during the original shoot. Using foley recordings to create drum samples can add unique qualities to your drum loops that you won’t find in traditional drum kits.
