On Wednesday, October 16th, 7-9pm, Electronic Music Collective hosted A-Trak, UNiiQU3, and, KITTENS for a panel discussion followed by a meet & greet for contestants of the 2019 Goldie Awards. The panelists discussed their individual experiences DJing, producing, and how competing is a catalyst for growth. Following the discussion, guests got a chance to get their hands on mixers, samplers, and other instruments the competitors used during the Goldie Awards.

The third annual Goldie Awards kicked off Thursday, October 17th at Brooklyn Steel. Eight DJs and Producers from across the globe battled it out to claim the coveted number one spot.

The Goldie Awards were presented by legendary turntablist and record producer, A-Trak. 2016 XXL Freshman, Denzel Curry and Chicago producer, YehMe2 hosted the event. Judges for the competition included Armand Van Helden, Alison Wonderland, Just Blaze, Take A Daytrip, DJ Craze, Uniiqu3, Busy P, and Kittens.
